Special Forces Unlimited team with Nike and Walmart to Bring Smiles to Loudoun Families

Known more for their accomplishments on the track, Special Forces Unlimied, the non-profit in Loudoun County along with Nike and Walmart opening their doors, brought smiles to Loudoun youth by providing brand new shoes for the youth of Loudoun as they return to school.  Special Forces Executive Director, Nick Savage, stated, 'There is nothing like seeing kids get excited about getting new shoes.  Especially, the older kids getting their shoes where fashion and the 'coolness' factor is so important due to peer pressure .  I really want to thank Nike and Walmart for opening their doors early in the morning so the kids could pickout their shoes.'  The majority of the funds came from the 1st Annual Special Forces 5k Fun  Run and Walk.   Mr. Savage added, 'We are going to make sure we work with as many groups such as LYI, YMCA, family outreach programs and the Girls and Boys Club to make sure this happens more often. It truly is priceless to serve others.'
